RED CARPET REMAKE: OSCAR DRESSES AND THEIR BUDGET-FRIENDLY LOOK-ALIKES

As we watched our favorite celebs file one-by-one onto the Oscars’ red carpet last Sunday (March 2), we swooned endlessly at their gorgeous designer gowns.

While we dream of the day where we slip into custom-made Prada (lucky gal, Lupita), we’re going to have to settle for budget-friendly look-alikes for now. They're more wearable, anyway — right?

We scoured the style scene for dresses that resemble those of the most memorable silhouettes we saw at the 2014 Academy Awards. From Jennifer Lawrence’s red-haute Dior to Kate Hudson’s jaw-dropping Versace number — we nabbed six options that mimic the sartorial masterpieces of Hollywood's biggest night.

Lupita Nyong’o: She may have taken home the Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her part in “12 Years a Slave,” but this Hollywood heavy hitter was a winner from the very moment she stepped onto the red carpet in a pale blue, custom-made Prada gown. Its focal point was its plunging neckline and free-flowing bottom. We found a lovely dress that boasts the same deep V-neck and feminine hue at Nasty Gal for $58.

Margot Robbie: The “Wolf of Wall Street” actress matched her onyx Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane gown to her newly-darkened locks, which made her almost unrecognizable! It was the hind side of her frock that brought the drama thanks to its low-cut back and blingy bow detail. We discovered a cute, A-line option at Zara that possesses the same exact qualities and rings in under $80.

Jennifer Lawrence: Tinsletown’s “It” girl turned out to the annual affair in a classy, red Dior gown (no surprise there) that featured a peplum silhouette and a strapless neckline. Love her selection? Try this crimson look-alike from XOXO that rocks the same flirty flares on its sides. Retailing at $40, it’s a small price to pay to channel our inner J-Law!

Kate Hudson: The blonde bombshell wore a custom-made Versace number with a plunging neckline, shoulder cape, and beaded detailing. While it sounds like a lot, the elements came together for a spectacular showing. We found achic carbon copy of this celeb-approved look for less that features the same draped detailing in the back. The cape is a stunning addition to an otherwise simple frock that makes it the ultimate head turner.

Olivia Wilde: Hot mama! The 29-year-old pregnant actress arrived in a black Valentino high-neck gown that fell perfectly along her baby bump. While minimalist, she added some Lorraine Schwartz jewels that made her sparkle next to fiancé Jason Sudeikis. We love this equally-as-timeless version from Naven for $100. Due to its simplicity, it could be worn on a variety of occasions.

Jennifer Garner: The stunning mother-of-three and “Dallas Buyers Club” star wowed the crowd in a metallic, fringed number from Oscar de la Renta. The glitz and glam of this dress made it one of the most memorable of the night! Want to be a standout during your next late-night rendezvous? Nab this tiered-fringe frock from Venus for under $60.
