Petra Nemcova flashes her underwear in a racy black dress

Her dedication to humanitarian causes and her career as a model might seem to have little in common.

But, as Petra Nemcova proved on Monday, sometimes showing a bit of leg is the perfect way to riase attention for a good cause.

The beauty made a jaw-dropping appearance at the Robin Hood Foundation Annual Benefit, showing off a significant amount of leg and underwear in a racy black dress.

That's brave! Model Petra Nemcova wore a dress that featured a seriously daring slit up the middle as she attended the Robin Hood Foundation Annual Benefit in New York City on Monday

The 34-year-old surely stopped traffic on her way into the star-studded New York City event, set up to help raise awareness about poverty.

Petra's dress was long, black and brave as it clung to her body, leaving no room for error on her part.

Whilst it remained fairly conservative around the neckline, the racy number featured a lacy slit down the side, which revealed a thick slice of skin all the way from her hip to the bottom of her leg.

A skin coloured G-string could be seen beneath the sheer fabric that overlayed it, which appeared to be a part of the plan.

The back of the sexy garment also featured an array of cut-out slashes, showing off even more skin as the model made her way up the stairs and into the event.

Petra's long blonde tresses were slicked back against her head forming a 'wet look', before tumbling down her back neatly.

She wore a dash of luminous red lipstick to match her red leather clutch as she headed inside to join the rich and famous for the charitable evening.

Other guests included Michael J. Fox and his wife Tracy Pollan, to whom he's been married since 1988, and Jon Bon Jovi.

Chanel Iman was dashing in a simple black gown and elegant curls, whilst Ryan Seacrest put on quite the show in a shining blue suit as they joined the masses to watch the likes of Bruno Mars perform.

The event was established by the Robin Hood Foundation, which is - according to its website - 'New York's largest poverty-fighting organization.'

The mission of the organization is to fight poverty in New York itself, by 'finding, funding, and creating programs and schools that generate meaningful results for families in New York's poorest neighborhoods.'
