Happy Birthday Mary-Kate & Ashley! Here’s how you can get the birthday girls’ bronzed look.

SKIN PREP:

“To ensure a flawless foundation, Mary-Kate and Ashley’s skin was cleansed and then prepped with Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum and Prevage Anti-Aging + Intensive Repair Daily Serum. Lips were hydrated with Eight Hour Cream.”

COMPLEXION:

“To perfect the skin and keep it luminous, both girls wore Flawless Finish Perfectly Nude Makeup in Alabaster. Their under-eyes were highlighted and concealed with Flawless Finish Correcting and Highlighting Perfector in Shade #1. For extra glow, Pure Finish Cool Radiance Highlighter was dabbed above the cheek bones, down the middle of the nose and in the middle of the forehead. Ashley’s cheeks were flushed with Beautiful Color Radiance Blush in Terra Rose and Mary-Kate’s in Blushing Pink. Both women had a final dusting of Pure Finish Summer Escape Bronzing Powder in Warm Glow.”

MARY-KATE’S EYES & LIPS:

“Lids were primed with Flawless Finish Correcting and Highlighting Perfector and then washed in Beautiful Color Eye Shadowin Sandstone. Beautiful Color Define and Highlight Eyeliner Duo in Golden Sands was applied along the top and bottom lash line and up into the crease. Her inner corners were dotted with the pearl end of the liner. Beautiful Color Eye Shadow inCinnamon was blended into the crease to create a smokey look. Lashes were curled and Beautiful color Lash Enhancing Mascara in Black was applied only to the top and bottom lashes to open the eye and give it a 70′s edge. Mary-Kate’s naturally full brows were defined using Beautiful Color Natural Eye Brow Pencil in Brunette. For a natural, rosy pout she rocked Summer Escape Beautiful Color Gloss Stick in Pink Sky.”

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen’s Hair — Classic, Messy Updos: How To Get The Look

Mark Townsend tells us exactly how to achieve the chic buns they rocked on the carpet for the CFDA awards! Find out below.

“I blew out Ashley’s hair with a few drops of Dove Dry Oil and a mixed bristle Spornette brush, which is the only kind of brush I ever use with them. The white bristles pick the hair up from the root and push it into the shorter natural bristles, so you get volume and that really smooth finish. I decided to braid Ashley’s long hair and then twist it up into a low bun. She loves hair that looks like it’s falling out, so I ended up using about 27 hair pins to get it right. When I was done, I swirled it into this set with a duckbill clip and moved on to Mary-Kate.”

“When I got to Mary-Kate, her hair was a little damp but mostly dry. And I had this leftover piece of black velvet ribbon from Ashley’s hair at the Met Ball. We knew the hair needed to go up because of the gorgeous Sidney Garber earrings she’d be wearing. I crisscrossed her ponytail with the ribbon and pinned it up into this bun.”

“We never like things to be too symmetrical or perfect or smooth. That’s the girls’ whole aesthetic, in the clothes they design, and the style they’re drawn to.”

And we can totally agree! The duo always looks put together, even when their hair or outfit is intended to look just a tad messy.
