Rosario Dawson unleashes her wild side as she slips into leopard print dress

Rosario Dawson is one class act and she proved it again on Sunday.

The 34-year-old made quite a fashion statement when she attended the premiere of movie Joe during the 2014 SXSW Music, Film and Interactive Festival at Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas.

The Gimme Shelter actress purred on the red carpet in a red and black leopard print dress, black tights and black heels.

The color of the dress highlighted her skin tone and complemented her dark hair.

Rosario was joined on the red carpet by the movie's star Nicolas Cage, who wore a leather red jacket that matched her dress.

In addition to the film Joe, Rosario can also be seen in the Diego Luna-directed film Chavez, a movie about Mexican-American civil and labor rights leader Cesar Chavez, NYDailyNews.com reports.

The brunette beauty plays activist Dolores Huerta in the film, which hits theaters March 28.

She said that the story of the iconic leader, played by Michael Pena, 'is finally being told,' she said.

'Diego touched on a lot of different aspects of the movement, and the reality and the temperature of the time, as well as the day-to-day sacrifices that everyone had to take on,' adding that the film 'doesn't idolize anyone, it doesn't put anyone on some sort of false pedestal. I think he humanized the entire process.'

In her real life, Rosario is very much an activist in her own right and is involved in a variety of social causes.

Some of the causes she supports include the Lower East Side Girls Club, the O.N.E. Campaign, Amnesty International, Oxfam, and Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.

And that's why Chavez was so appealing for her.

'There was a strong desire to tell a story of marginalized people in the same way Dolores and all of them went about helping and supporting those people,' she said.

'We felt really glad for the opportunity to make sure that audiences remember this moment in history that is so powerful and still so relevant today.'
