That looks familiar! Claire Danes wore a version of Kim Kardashian's Givenchy wedding dress to the Emmy Awards

She led the glamour on the Emmy awards red carpet on Monday night with a stunning red gown.

And it seems Claire Danes might have drawn some inspiration from Kim Kardashian after she wore the same Givenchy dress which the reality star sported on her lavish wedding day earlier this year.

Kim famously wore a stunning lace Givenchy gown to marry Kanye West and Claire proved that it looked just as good walking down the red carpet as it did when Kim walked down the aisle.

Opting for the dress in a bold scarlet shade, the Homeland actress made a few changes to the gown which certainly made the look her own.

While the gown featured the same lace triangle side cut outs as the one Riccardo Tisci custom made for Kim, Claire’s dress did not feature a train and she opted to keep the lace back detail.

The mother-of-one also decided not to add sleeves and sported a striking embellished neckline for touch of extra glamour.

Your wedding dress is sacred and you’d dread to behold anyone else wearing it; but not even Kim Kardashian can get away with sporting something completely one of a kind.

Hollywood star Claire Danes decided she wanted to keep up with Kim and alter the reality star’s wedding frock to become worthy of the red carpet. Even the Hollywood elite want a slice of Kim’s style!

Luckily, the Kardashian kopy was barely noticeable as Claire made the gown her own entirely with its red hue complimenting her porcelain skin tone and statement necklace adding further interest.

While Claire lost out to Julianna Marguiles for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, the star can find comfort in the trophies she already has at home after her wins the previous two years.

The actress also featured on many of the best dressed lists across the globe meaning she walked away with the fashion crown on the night.

Kim Kardashian married Kanye West in a private ceremony held in Florence, Italy in May.

While the celebrity power couple banned pictures from being taken on their big day, the star has since released a few pictures from the occasions which gave fans the chance to see her gorgeous gown.

One shot showcased the stunning work done by Givenchy creative director, Riccardo Tisci, as it revealed the full length of the starlet dramatic train and veil.
